Logos
It is obviously
very important that your online presence has your logo so that regular
customers will recognise your site immediately. You can upload you logo
to our site using only your browser* very easily.
| Q |
What
size can my logo be? |
|
A
|
To
be accepted on our system your logo has to be in no larger than 125x125
pixels. This will make the file size around 12k. |
| Q |
What
format should my logo be saved in? |
|
A
|
You
must save your logo in either GIF or JPEG formats. These will give
you a file with the extension, .gif .jpg .jpeg depending on your graphics
package. Only the GIF format supports transparency, therefore if you
want to make the logo background transparent you must save it as GIF. |
| Q |
How
do I make the logo background transparent? |
|
A
|
This
can be done with the majority of graphics packages available on the
market. Please refer to the documentation that came with your graphics
package. To be transparent, you will have to save the image in the
GIF format. |
| Q |
Does
the background have to be transparent? |
|
A
|
No,
but if you choose a template for your site where your logo is placed
over another image, then the underlying image will not be displayed
in the area that your logo and background takes up. Transparency is
simply there to make your site look better on some templates. |
| Q |
Which
graphics package do you recommend? |
|
A
|
We
recommend, Paint Shop Pro, which has a great deal of features and
can do everything you require. Remember, it is not important which
package you have, you must only meet the upload criteria. |
| Q |
What
do I do if I do not have an electronic copy of my logo? |
|
A
|
If
you or someone you know has a scanner then you could scan in a letter
head or something similar with your logo on it. Alternatively, you
could speak with your printer, who may have an electronic copy of
it on file. If you do not want to use your own logo, you can always
choose one of our images from the logo library. |
| Q |
How
often can I change my logo? |
|
A
|
Like
everything else on myeasysite, as many time and as often as you want,
however like the other areas, we do not recommend large changes to
look and feel often as this can confuse visitors. |
| Q |
I
chose a logo library image, can I get my old logo back? |
|
A
|
Unfortunately
not, not without uploading it again. Like all areas on myeasysite,
any changes you make take immediate effect. This means we delete from
our systems logos when they stop being used. If you want your old
image back, simply upload it again. |
